An election case bombshell just dropped and millions of Americans across the nation are stunned. A Supreme Court justice has spoken out.
“Our fellow citizens deserve better and expect more of us,” wrote Justice Clarence Thomas in a dissenting opinion this week after “the Supreme Court decided — by one vote –to hear none of the 2020 election cases,” reported Breitbart News.
At least four votes were needed to get a case on the court’s docket for review, however, only Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch “voted to take at least two of four of the key cases from November 2020.”
Unfortunately, this means justices Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett voted with Chief Justice John Roberts and the court’s other liberals. It is a shocking and disappointing end to the legal disputes over the election.
Thomas made several points that Kavanaugh and Barrett would have been wise to heed, such as an astute observation of the shenanigans that occurred in Pennsylvania and why the nation’s highest court should have acted.
He said that “petitioners presented a strong argument that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s decision violated the Constitution by overriding the clearly expressed intent of the legislature.”
