As the election draws closer, more and more secretaries of states are warning that it may be weeks before they will be able to announce the winner of the presidential race for their states.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, significant numbers of people may choose to vote by mail in states that allow it, which could put a heavier strain on those tabulating and verifying the ballots.
Many states are also scrambling to make last-minute rule changes so that ballots can be counted, such as extending deadlines until a few days after the election.
“We should be prepared for this to be closer to an Election Week, as opposed to an Election Day,” Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson said on NBC’s Meet the Press. “The bottom line is we are not going to have the full results and a counting of all of our ballots on election night.”
Democrats seem to be doing everything they can to make the election a chaotic mess. I wonder if that’s because they know what the true result is going to be?
