U.S. Attorney General John Durham interviewed former CIA Director John Brennan as part of his investigation into the actions of the Obama administration in surveilling the Trump campaign.
According to Brennan’s spokesman, Brennan was not interviewed as a suspect in the criminal investigation and was interviewed to provide information.
He claimed in a statement, “Brennan was informed by Mr. Durham that he is not a subject or a target of a criminal investigation and that he is only a witness to events that are under review.”
For those who have been following Durham’s investigation, it may come as a shock to learn that Brennan is not a suspect in the criminal investigation.
Brennan played a huge role in the surveillance of the Trump campaign in 2016 and was also a player in the following Mueller investigation that ultimately exposed the corrupt circumstances around the whole situation.
Brennan has repeatedly denied any political motives on the part of the CIA and FBI in surveilling the Trump campaign and instead insists that it is President Trump who is responsible for the politicization of the justice system.
