Dr. Anthony Fauci had high praise Monday during a CNN appearance for the team of doctors providing care for President Donald Trump since his coronavirus diagnosis.
Fauci made it clear that he has not been involved in Trump’s actual care, but said some of the president’s medical team were colleagues.
“My colleagues that I know, including Sean Conley, are very good physicians, and they’re very qualified, so I am really confident that the president of the United States is getting the optimal care that you can get with the team over at Walter Reed,” Fauci said.
Trump has received antibodies from Regeneron and remdesivir, along with a steroid for inflammation.
He reported feeling better since Saturday and left Walter Reed on Monday to go back to the White House.
