President Donald Trump was absolutely right. This ‘reversal’ in Michigan has shocked the nation. No one could have predicted such a dramatic switch.
According to Breitbart News, “A spokesman for Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel” told the publication that “she will not investigate Gov. Gretchen Whitmer over her role in the deaths of nursing home patients.”
Originally, back in June of 2020, Breitbart asked Nessel’s office and the door certainly wasn’t closed on the idea. Her spokesman, Ryan Jarvi, simply said that they “generally don’t comment on whether we’ll conduct investigations.”
But Jarvi also said that investigations can and do occur when a “complaint” is received. One can imagine that several complaints have been filed, but it won’t do any good — Nessel isn’t going to do anything.
By contrast, at least in New York, Attorney General Leticia James (D) released a report about the handling of COVID-19 bu Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D). She found that his administration had “undercounted” nursing home deaths.
According to the report, Cuomo undercounted the deaths “by as much as 50 percent” and James is “conducting ongoing investigations into more than 20 nursing homes” as a result. Cuomo (and Whitmer) should both be held accountable.
