Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) threw her support behind President Trump, vindicating his efforts to get Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act repealed.
Gabbard is the poster-child for the centrist element of the Democrat party, and her support for President Trump’s actions is an important endorsement.
Gabbard went on Fox News Channel’s “Fox News @ Night” on Thursday and said, “I support the president’s push to make this happen, once again. Because Congress has thus far failed to do what is necessary to break up these big tech monopolies and to take away the legal immunity with which they are exploiting for their own massive profits and financial interests on the backs of us, the American people.”
This is a big win for President Trump as it shows that his fight against the large social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter isn’t just a partisan issue.
Representative Gabbard made this clear when she said, “This is about freedom for the American people and making sure these big tech monopolies cannot abuse their position.”
Both Democrats and Republicans should stand together, and demand companies like Google and Facebook be held responsible for their actions. They are using their incredible power to influence the nation against the will of the people, and this must be stopped.
