Even as President Donald Trump appears to be struggling with low approval ratings and disheartening poll numbers, the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee have announced a record-breaking fundraising quarter, raising a total of more than $266 million.
$131 million was raised in June alone, when the media was relentlessly reporting that Biden had double-digit leads over Trump both nationally and in most battleground states.
Supposedly, Trump’s chances of winning were all but gone because the compound problems of the pandemic and police reform protests-turned-riots.
“The Trump campaign’s monumental June fundraising haul proves that people are voting with their wallets and that enthusiasm behind President Trump’s reelection is only growing,” Trump Campaign Manager Brad Parscale said. “No one is excited about Joe Biden, which is why he has to rely so heavily on surrogates like Barack Obama and radical Hollywood elites. In stark contrast, President Trump is tapping into support from real Americans all across the country who have reaped the benefits of his America First agenda.”
I, for one, am a long way from giving up on Trump and the rest of the GOP candidates come November.
