On Friday, President Donald Trump said that Joe Biden “should not” claim to have won the presidential race at this point, since votes have not all been counted and certified, and some results are extremely close.
“Joe Biden should not wrongfully claim the office of the President,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “I could make that claim also. Legal proceedings are just now beginning!”
“I had such a big lead in all of these states late into election night, only to see the leads miraculously disappear as the days went by,” Trump wrote.
“Perhaps these leads will return as our legal proceedings move forward!” he said.
As one would expect, Biden did not pay Trump any heed, and claimed the mantle of presidential winner as soon as news outlets like Fox News and the Associated Press projected him to be the winner on Saturday morning.
