Former President Donald Trump has scored a major victory in court and defeated the NAACP, who sued him for challenging the vote counts in several states.
The NAACP alleged that Trump had “sought to overturn the result of the election by disenfranchising voters, in particular voters of color in several major metropolitan areas.”
The NAACP argued that Trump’s actions in conjunction with the Republican Party were in violation of the Voting Right Act and the Ku Klux Klan Act.
Judge Emmet Sullivan disagreed with the NAACP’s argument and ruled in Trump’s favor marking another important legal victory ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.
Republicans are working to counter the work done by liberal billionaires like Mark Zuckerberg, who have poured millions into ensuring Democrats have an advantage in getting out the vote in urban areas.
Democrats have billions of dollars to pour into every election and Republicans’ only real option is to litigate. This victory ensures that Republicans will have that tool going into a crucial election.
