Former President Donald Trump committed Saturday to campaigning against Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R) in 2022 when she is up for re-election.
Murkowski was the only one of seven GOP senators who voted to convict Trump in the recent impeachment trial who is up for re-election next year.
“She represents her state badly and her country even worse. I do not know where other people will be next year, but I know where I will be — in Alaska campaigning against a disloyal and very bad Senator,” Trump said.
He also faulted Murkowski for voting to confirm radical Biden appointee Deb Haaland to Interior Secretary.
Murkowski may be hard to beat, however. After losing a primary challenge in 2010 and failing to get the party’s nomination, she went on to win as a write-in candidate.
