President Donald Trump just dropped out and millions of Americans are in shock. No one expected him to make this move with less than 30 days until the November election.
“The second presidential debate […] will now be a virtual contest and not in person,” reported Breitbart News. Immediately following the news, Trump said, “I’m not going to do a virtual debate.”
Trump’s campaign later confirmed that he has dropped out of the next debate due to the decision by the Commission on Presidential Debates to hold it virtually instead of in-person.
“For the swamp creatures at the Presidential Debate Commission to now rush to Joe Biden’s defense by unilaterally canceling an in-person debate is pathetic,” said the campaign in a statement.
The Commission, of course, tried to pass off their decision as being the result of Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis, but the virus is no longer detectable in his body. This is a smokescreen.
For this reason, Trump’s campaign is planning to do a rally instead — which, honestly, will draw a big crowd and likely be a better use of his time. No one is going to watch Biden talk to himself.
