A group of illegal immigrants from Texas are suing President Donald Trump to try to force him to restart the stalled DACA program to admit new eligible young people.
One estimate says that at least 86,000 illegal immigrats in Texas have become eligible for the program since it was shut down to new applicants.
A Maryland federal judge ordered the administration to reopen DACA to new registrations, but the program’s website does not indicate that new registrations are being accepted.
No date was set by the judge for reopening the program.
Trump is in the process of filing new paperwork to end the program after the Supreme Court rejected his first argument about doing so.
