The news just dropped about President Donald Trump’s exit. Members of the liberal media are in shock — they never expected this announcement less than 40 days until the November election.
In the last few days, the media has run wild with the accusation that Trump wouldn’t accept a “peaceful transfer of power” if he loses. Not only did they take his recent comments out of context — he has already announced repeatedly what he would do.
“Certainly if I don’t win, I don’t win,” said Trump back in June, via a report from The Washington Post. “I mean, you know, go on and do other things. I think that would be a very sad thing for our country.”
Trump has answered similarly in other situations as well, however, the mainstream media decided to blow up this week after his remarks during a White House press conference, when a liberal reporter asked him (again) about what he’d do if he lost.
“Trump responded by talking about all the problems with the voting process — and noted that he did not expect to leave, because he expected to win,” noted Breitbart News. In context, there was nothing controversial about what he said.
But now we have been inundated with one story after another about how Trump is a “dictator” who doesn’t intend to leave office — even if he loses. Ironically, it was Hillary Clinton who recently said that Joe Biden should not concede “under any circumstances.”
