During a rally with thousands of supporters in Commerce, Georgia on Saturday night, former President Donald Trump said that his much-criticized personality kept the U.S. out of war while he was in office.
“And you remember this: the fake news media said my personality would get us into war. But actually, as it turned out, it was my personality that kept us the hell out of war,” he said.
Trump pointed out that he has been “the only president in four decades not to get America into any new conflicts.”
The truth is that the perception of strength is far more important than any other policy, and now under Biden, there is no perception of strength to speak of.
It’s easy to say “woulda, coulda, shoulda,” but Trump does have four years of a record to draw on.
