Former President Donald Trump predicted that President Joe Biden was going to have a difficult time negotiating with Iran and China because of his declared policies surrounding relations with them.
“Iran was willing to do anything, and now they’re going to drive a tough bargain,” Trump told Newsmax’s Greg Kelly. “We have them in such great position. Such a shame if we don’t get it done properly.”
Trump canceled the 2015 Iran nuclear deal instituted by then-president Barack Obama and his vice president Biden, saying it was a “horrible, one-sided deal that should have never, ever been made.”
Trump said he regretted not getting to finish his negotiations with Iran and China before leaving office.
He pointed out that Biden’s family ties to China might make it difficult for him to take a hard line on Xi Jinping.
