Joe Biden has claimed that climate change is the biggest danger to mankind, but Donald Trump isn’t buying it.
According to Breitbart News, Trump “challenged a claim by President Joe Biden on Thursday after he said the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff told him climate change was the ‘greatest threat.'”
“Biden just said that he was told by the Joint Chiefs of Staff that Climate Change is our greatest threat,” said Trump in a statement. “If that is the case, and they actually said this, he ought to immediately fire the Joint Chiefs of Staff for being incompetent!”
Biden’s comments were disturbing if true. “You know what the Joint Chiefs told us the greatest threat facing America was? Global warming,” said Biden in the controversial statement. “Because there’ll be significant population movements, fights over land, millions of people leaving places because they’re literally sinking below the sea in Indonesia; because of the fights over what is arable land anymore.”
Trump isn’t wrong. Climate change may be a risk but with China and Iran increasingly hostility both militarily and economically, it is foolish to peg the climate as the top danger.
