President Donald Trump just confirmed the plan. The GOP is stunned by his announcement — he isn’t slowing down one bit.
“Mo Brooks has my Complete and Total Endorsement for the U.S. Senate representing the Great State of Alabama,” said Trump in a public statement this week. “He will never let you down!”
Trump continued: “Few Republicans have as much COURAGE and FIGHT as Alabama Congressman Mo Brooks. Mo is a great Conservative Republican leader, who will stand up for America First no matter what obstacles the Fake News Media, RINOs, or Socialist Democrats may place in his path.”
Since the beginning, Brooks was a steadfast supporter of Trump’s agenda and never wavered. There is no question whatsoever that he will champion America First policies in the U.S. Senate.
However, Brooks isn’t the only one vying for retiring Sen. Richard Shelby’s seat. Lynda Blanchard has also jumped into the race — and she has direct ties to the Trump administration, too.
According to Breitbart News, Blanchard “served in the administration as U.S. ambassador to Slovenia.” The president has made his choice in Brooks, making him the likely candidate to survive the primary.
