Former President Donald Trump celebrated the news Wednesday that Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) was ousted from Republican conference leadership in the House for her loud and frequent criticism of him.
“Liz Cheney is a bitter, horrible human being,” Trump wrote after the vote. “I watched her yesterday and realized how bad she is for the Republican Party. She has no personality or anything good having to do with politics or our Country.”
“She is a talking point for Democrats, whether that means the Border, the gas lines, inflation, or destroying our economy,” he continued.
Cheney was replaced by Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) as conference chair, probably to counter possible criticism that she was removed because she was female.
Trump predicted she would end up on CNN or another left-wing news site as a contributor.
