A shocking statement was just made about President Donald Trump’s campaign. Millions of people are stunned by this 2024 announcement.
“I think it would be terribly divisive for our country for him to run again,” said Trump’s former national security adviser, H.R. McMaster, during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper.
McMaster’s answered followed a question from Tapper. The CNN anchor said, “He might run again. Would you support him running again?” It is sad to see people Trump depended on and trusted throw him under the bus now.
Tapper also pinned the Capitol riot on Trump, trying to get McMaster to blame the president as well. He accused Trump of “inciting his fans to stage a terrorist attack on the Capitol that resulted in bloodshed.”
It bears repeating that everyone denounces the horrific riot at the Capitol, including Trump himself; there was no excuse for it. But to claim that Trump “incited” it is another story altogether — and it is the media narrative.
The truth is simple: Trump called for supporters to “peacefully and patriotically” protest at the Capitol at a rally mere hours before. No one could have anticipated that a couple of hundred people (out of thousands) would become violent.
