A bombshell about the Democratic National Convention just dropped and people are stunned. Former Vice President Joe Biden isn’t going to do this the old-fashioned way — he has another idea in mind.
“Joe Biden wanted the date for the Democrat National Convention moved to a later time period. Now he wants a ‘Virtual’ Convention, one where he doesn’t have to show up. Gee, I wonder why?” tweeted President Trump.
“Also, what ever happened to that phone call he told the Fake News he wanted to make to me?” he concluded, exposing a promise Biden made that he never followed through on — and he isn’t even the official nominee yet.
One has to wonder: If Biden will go back on his word to the president of the United States, how would he conduct himself as president? We all know the answer to that question, but Trump is making an even bigger point here.
Biden wants to avoid Trump at all costs, which is one of the reasons why he’s called for a virtual convention. It looks like the former Vice President realized he had stepped in it, so he (i.e. his campaign) tweeted a response.
“Mr. President, I hope we can gather in Milwaukee, but that is going to depend on you stepping up and doing what needs to be done to handle this pandemic,” he said. “I have laid out how you can do that. Happy to discuss anytime.”
