The family of a second gay man who was found dead in the home of wealthy Democrat donor Ed Buck has filed a civil lawsuit against Buck on the anniversary of his death.
Activist and commentator Jasmyne Cannick said she filed the suit on behalf of Timothy Dean’s family. Dean, 55, died of a methamphetamine overdose in January 2019 and was found in Buck’s apartment.
Gemmel Moore, 26, also died of a methamphetamine overdose in Buck’s apartment in July 2017.
Buck,65, was arrested after a third man nearly died of an overdose in his home in September. He was charged with battery causing serious injury, administering methamphetamine, and maintaining a drug house.
If convicted, Buck could go to jail for 20 years or get a life sentence. He donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democrat candidates through an animal welfare PAC, including Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
