Embattled New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) is under ever-increasing pressure to resign. A major announcement has New York preparing for it.
“The Times Union is the second Editorial Board that has called on New York’s Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) to resign after news broke of the nursing home deaths coverup,” reported Breitbart News.
In an op-ed entitled “Resign, Mr. Cuomo,” the newspaper’s editorial board said that while they “endorsed Mr. Cuomo for governor three times,” the Democrat politician “has lost the credibility he needs to lead this state.”
If covering up the nursing home deaths due to his disastrous COVID-19 policy wasn’t enough — and, to be sure, he should have already resigned by now — Cuomo is now facing “multiple allegations of sexual harassment.”
Meanwhile, the governor’s approval rating has tanked. According to a Harvard CAPS-Harris poll, Cuomo’s “favorability rating has dropped 22 points from last summer,” reported Breitbart a few days ago.
If he will not resign, the New York legislature needs to rally a bipartisan force to hold him accountable however possible. There is even a process by which he could be impeached and lawmakers should use it.
