New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) just completely lost it. The nation is laughing at him now and there’s no way he can avoid the ridicule — he would be better off resigning now.
According to Breitbart News, Cuomo “grew visibly irritated after reporters asked if schools would remain open in New York City, raising his voice and mocking reporters while failing to offer a definitive answer to the question.”
Two reporters — one from the Wall Street Journal and another, surprisingly, from the New York Times — asked Cuomo simple questions about school closures and instead of answering directly, he continued to act like a fool.
Asking specifically about New York City’s schools, the WSJ’s Jimmy Vielkind sought clarification from Cuomo, noting that the governor said “this is the city’s decision,” but also that he “might have to close the schools.”
Instead of clarifying definitively, of course, Cuomo just got more irritated, accusing Vielkind of being “obnoxious and offensive in your tone.” It wasn’t long before the NYT’s Jesse McKinley backed up his news colleague’s questioning.
Then Cuomo really lost it. “I don’t really care what you think,” he said. “Of course you agree with him because you’re in the same business with him.” When a liberal like Cuomo can’t get a free pass from the NYT, you know he’s in hot water.
