New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo could be completely done. A new report has rocked the nation and even his strongest supporters are stunned.
According to a Politico/Morning Consult survey, Cuomo’s “favorability rating is under water nationally as he continues to face fallout from both his administration’s nursing home coverup and mounting allegations of sexual harassment.”
“Fifty-four percent find him unfavorable, followed by 15 percent who did not express an opinion,” reported Breitbart News. If Cuomo had presidential aspirations, they are all but destroyed now. He likely won’t recover.
His political standing in New York is also looking dire. A recent poll showed a six-point drop in support for Cuomo, from 63-percent to 57-percent. It is likely that his support has dropped even lower since then.
On top of that, a bipartisan group of New York lawmakers is pushing for accountability — from limiting Cuomo’s emergency powers to demanding that he resign. Will he even run for reelection in 2022?
If he does, he could very well face a primary opponent from his own party or even a formidable Republican challenger. One thing is certain: Cuomo’s political career is in shambles and is about to dissolve entirely.
