New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) could be completely done. It has finally happened and he can’t escape accountability this time. He is finished.
According to Breitbart News, Cuomo’s approval rating has dropped significantly “since it was revealed that the administration covered up the number of coronavirus-related deaths in nursing homes.”
The Morning Consult conducted a scientific survey and discovered that Cuomo’s support from New York voters dropped from 63-percent to 57-percent, which is a massive six-point drop. This is significant.
Should the trend continue, Cuomo’s support could very well dip below 50-percent and leave him open to a strong primary opponent — or even a Republican opponent. One thing is certain: New Yorkers are getting fed up.
And they should be. The evidence is overwhelming that Cuomo covered up nursing home deaths “out of fears of a federal investigation,” noted Breitbart. He didn’t want Trump’s Justice Department to come after him.
Well, Cuomo seems to have only delayed justice. New York lawmakers in both parties are calling for him to be held accountable. “Anyone who is complicit needs to be charged criminally,” said state Rep. Colin Schmitt (R).
