Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) pointed out the irony of a Democrat party that hasn’t produced full vote results from the Iowa caucuses, but yet wants to take over and run healthcare, education and other aspects of American life.
“Dems, right now, they can’t stand in a gymnasium and count who stands under which sign and they’re the ones that want to be in charge of our healthcare and everything else in our life,” Cruz said on Fox & Friends.
“I mean, these are the socialist candidates who say, ‘We know best, trust us to run your life.’ Well, guys, how about figure out how to count your votes first.”
Democrat officials in Iowa have reported inconsistencies in vote totals and say that an app meant for tabulating results malfunctioned on Monday.
Cruz visited all 99 counties in Iowa during his primary run for president in 2016 (he won Iowa), and has called the Iowa caucuses a“beautiful part of our democracy.”
