The Deep State was just rocked by a major scandal. Criminal charges could be on the way, as stunning details about the effort to take down Donald Trump — before and after he became president — have surfaced.
According to a new book called Crime in Progress: Inside the Steele Dossier and the Fusion GPS Investigation of Donald Trump, written by Fusion GPS co-founders Glenn Simpson and Peter Fritsch, there is lots to tell.
In the book, Simpson and Fritsch admit that the FBI asked Fusion GPS’s Christopher Steele about Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos. In turn, Steele relayed this information to Fusion GPS.
Looking at the timeline, this discussion appears to have taken place before the FBI interviewed Papadopoulos in January of 2017 — meaning Fusion GPS knew about the FBI’s interest in Papadopoulos well in advance.
As we now know, the Obama administration used Christopher Steele’s now-debunked dossier to begin an investigation into Trump’s 2016 campaign for Russian “collusion” and obtain a warrant to spy on Papadopoulos.
As Attorney General William Barr and his appointee, U.S. Attorney John Durham, continue to investigate the origins of this anti-Trump witch-hunt, criminal charges being filed is not out of the question.
