Representative Michael McCaul (R-TX) told CNN’s Jake Tapper that the coronavirus “most likely” came from an accidental Wuhan lab leak.
McCaul was involved in the House investigation into the origins of the virus, and Tapper wanted to know what they committee found.
McCaul pointed to the three Wuhan lab researchers that sought hospital treatment with COVID-like symptoms in November 2019 to bolster his argument.
He also detailed the Chinese Communist Party cover-up, including detaining and silencing doctors, destroying lab samples, and lying to the WHO about the virus.
He blasted the Chinese cover-up, saying it resulted “in 3.5 million deaths, creating an economic devastation around the globe.”
