The court just stepped in. Democrats are fuming over the decision, but the law has prevailed after an “exhaustive investigation” into the claims.
“No Kenosha law enforcement officer in this case will be charged with any criminal offense,” said Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley, referring to the officer-involved shooting of Jacob Blake Jr.
Graveley said the decision comes following an “exhaustive investigation” into the facts of the case. According to a report by Breitbart News, “Blake shot seven times from behind after an altercation with police who were trying to arrest him.”
Blake was reportedly “wanted on charges that included sexual assault, and his alleged victim called 911 after he came to her residence.” The report also noted that the suspect “fought police nd evaded a Taser” before being shot.
However, Blake was not shot by police until “allegedly reaching for a knife inside his car.” Black Lives Matter protests erupted in the Kenosha area and Blake was even “hailed by Democrats, including Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.”
Graveley encouraged the community to “begin the healing process” instead of creating chaos and destruction over the decision. There simply isn’t compelling evidence that officers acted inappropriately when apprehending Blake.
