Congress just said ‘yes’ and Washington is in an uproar. The anonymous whistleblower is about to come forward — and America could see this person for the first time in the coming weeks.
According to Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, the Ukraine whistleblower will appear “very soon” to testify. Democrats will stop at nothing to pursue their impeachment agenda.
Strangely enough, Schiff also noted that it is important for the “testimony to go forward in a way that protects the whistleblower’s identity,” but he did not seem to elaborate further.
The shenanigans Schiff has planned are anyone’s guess at this point, however, it makes one wonder how a whistleblower’s identity can be protected while publicly testifying before Congress.
One thing’s for certain: Democrats are going to draw this out as long as they can for political purposes. Now that the impeachment floodgate has been opened, Schiff is free to do whatever he wants.
According to USA Today, “the whistleblower’s attorneys … continue to work with the House and Senate about finalizing logistics” for this yet unnamed individual to make an appearance.
