Condoleeza Rice, former Secretary of State under George W. Bush, has become part of the ownership group of the Denver Broncos football team, according to the team’s social media.
Walton-Penner Family Ownership Group welcomed Rice to the conglomerate, which is under agreement to buy the Broncos for a total of $4.65 billion.
Rice is an avid football fan and was almost interviewed for a head coaching position with the Cleveland Browns in 2018.
She also served on the College Football Playoff Committee from 2013 to 2016.
Rice is currently the provost at Stanford University.
