The family of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn dropped a bombshell in the form of a $75 million lawsuit on CNN after CNN ran a story alleging that Flynn’s family members were QAnon followers.
Documents filed in a New York federal court show that Jack and Leslie Flynn, Michael Flynn’s brother and sister-in-law, filed the suit against CNN.
CNN ran a segment titled “CNNGoes Inside A Gathering Of QANON Followers,” which included a video of Michael Flynn’s family holding a 4th of July get-together.
After CNN ran the segment, the Flynn family responded, saying that they are “not followers or supporters of any extremist or terrorist groups, including QAnon.”
Clearly, the Flynn family didn’t appreciate being smeared on national television by the mainstream media and have decided enough is enough. For too long, organizations like CNN have slandered normal Americans unfairly, and there must be consequences.
Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann succeeded in suing CNN for slandering his name, and more Americans need to follow the same path. When the media is held liable for what they report, perhaps they will become fairer in regular Americans’ coverage.
