Former Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama are working together with President Joe Biden and the respective first ladies to resettle Afghan refugees across the U.S. as part of a non-governmental organization.

Several multinational corporations including Airbnb, Walmart, Starbucks, Instacart, Facebook, Microsoft, and Chobani are working with the organization to provide the Afghan refugees with financial assistance. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is providing assistance to find them jobs.
Around 35,000 Afghans are living on military bases, and another 14,000 are due in next week. Biden’s goal is to resettle a total of 95,000 refugees in the U.S. in states where governors have approved doing so.
While helping Afghans seems noble after what they’ve been through, it is concerning that so many high profile politicians are willing to resettle unvetted refugees that could be of suspect background.
