House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) could be removed from leadership in what Republicans call a brewing “civil war” in the Democrat party.
Representative Paul Gosar (R-AZ) said during a radio interview that “[A]OC, Omar, Tlaib, and Pressley are not the type of people that will back down. They’re going to come with a fight, and that’s why I think there’s going to be a civil war that occurs over the next several weeks before the speakership race. And I think there’s a change coming.”
Democrats by most metrics did not have a good election season as Republicans flipped crucial House seats and are set to retake the majority in 2022.
While Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden seems poised to take over the presidency, he will have a Republican majority Senate and a divided House beneath him.
Discontent has been brewing in the Democrat party for years as the party splits between moderates and radical leftists like Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and the only thing keep that discontent contained was the fight against President Trump.
Believing that President Trump is out, Democrats are free to fight the ideological war that has been brewing for years. Speaker Pelosi will likely be the first casualty in that internecine conflict.
