A bombshell just dropped about Chinese election interference. America may be unable to move forward — millions of people can’t believe it.
“The 2020 Intelligence Community Assessment focused on foreign election influence will be delayed, Fox News has learned, amid a dispute among senior intelligence analysts over whether China sought to influence the election,” reported Fox News.
According to the report, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) released a statement saying that “the Intelligence Community will not meet the December 18 deadline” to submit an election assessment.
Specifically, the assessment will report “on foreign threats to the 2020 U.S. elections,” and there is a debate on China’s activity now — even for the assessment to be delayed. This is a stunning development.
It is especially disconcerting since a high-ranking Democrat congressman, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), has alleged ties with a Chinese spy and he sits on the House Intelligence Committee.
Several House Republicans have already asked Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to remove Swalwell from his committee post and launch a full investigation. There have been zero movements on Pelosi’s part thus far.
To matter matters even more complicated, Joe Biden is poised to be inaugurated as the next president in January. His family’s ties to the Chinese government and related business interests will continue to be an issue.
