China was just completely busted. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said that we need to go over there — it is time to show unity and resolve in the face of evil.
Appearing on Fox News, Cruz was asked about whether he supported a proposal that Team USA boycott the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Cruz said that this would send exactly the wrong message to China.
“I’m generally not a fan of boycotting things like boycotting the Olympics,” said Cruz. He said that “we shouldn’t punish American athletes” and instead “go over there, call them out, be absolutely explicit.”
Now, that is leadership. Let American athletes compete in the Olympics while the United States makes it abundantly clear that we oppose the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). It would show that the U.S. will not back down.
“I’ve introduced legislation to sanction the officials responsible for the genocide, to fight them, and call them out directly,” noted Cruz. We should not project “a policy of weakness” toward China, even though the DC swamp wants to.
Yes, let’s call out the CCP for their genocide of the Uighurs and cracking down on freedoms in Hong Kong. Let’s call out the CCP for covering up the origins of COVID-19. Let’s show strength now — before it is too late.
