China has been on a public relations campaign as they attempt to cover up their role in the coronavirus pandemic. They have ramped up their attacks on U.S. officials, specifically Republicans.
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo addressed the situation and confidently ripped into China in an interview with Breitbart News.
Pompeo said, “I think this shows that the Chinese Communist Party understands the risk that they’ve put on top of their own nation. Those attacks demonstrate weakness, not resolve, by the Chinese Communist Party. You and I are both old enough to remember how Communist regimes, how autocracies behave. Once they know they have done things that are wrong, they strike out.”
China has aggressively denied its role in allowing coronavirus to spread from Wuhan, China, to the rest of the world.
They even supported a campaign that smeared the use of the term “Chinese coronavirus” as racist and xenophobic. They were happily aided by Hollywood and the mainstream media.
China and the U.S. have long been engaged in an information war, but the recent pandemic has exposed how many Americans are willing to side with a brutal and authoritarian regime.
