Hollywood family and sex therapist Amie Harwick was killed early Saturday in her Hollywood Hills home, and her ex-boyfriend was subsequently arrested for her murder.
Harwick’s roommate called police shortly after 1 a.m. to report that she was being assaulted, and by the time police arrived Harwick was found injured on the ground below her third floor balcony.
She was taken to the hospital, where she died of her injuries. Gareth Pursehouse, 41, was arrested Saturday afternoon outside his residence.
Harwick and Pursehouse dated, but had broken up recently. Harwick had told friends she was afraid of Pursehouse and had gotten a restraining order against him. The restraining order had expired two weeks earlier, and the two had reportedly seen each other since then.
Harwick was involved in the documentary “Addicted to Sexting.” She had previously been engaged to The Price is Right host Drew Carey in 2018.
