The news just dropped about a heartbreaking cancer diagnosis — it has been publicly confirmed. New York and the entire nation are in shock. This tragedy has stunned everyone.
“Less then 3 weeks ago I didn’t know I had cancer,” said best-selling Christian author and theologian Tim Keller in a Twitter post. He revealed the terrible news that he has “pancreatic cancer.”
Keller, who resides in New York City, is the founder of Redeemer Community Church and retired as senior pastor in 2017, but his bold commitment to truth and grace has captured the world.
In his post, Keller said that he currently feels “great” and the cancer was caught during an “incidental pickup.” He ultimately asked that people would pray over over the entire situation.
“For God to use medical means or his direct intervention to make the cancer regress to the point of vanishing,” Keller requested, and his list continued with several other requests.
He also asked that people would pray that he and his wife would “desire God’s presence above all,” for his family “to be comforted and encouraged,” and that he would be able to continue working during treatment.
