A stunning announcement about COVID-19 in California just dropped and residents are furious. Millions of people are calling for answers immediately.
“Drug overdoses killed more than 700 people in San Francisco in 2020, while the coronavirus pandemic — which shut down the city and accelerated an exodus — killed fewer than 300,” reported Breitbart News.
You read that correctly. In fact, it is such a story that the San Francisco Chronicle wrote all about it. The newspaper reported that “2o21 looks to be even worse” for drug overdoses.
So far, there have been “252 accidental overdose deaths from January to April” in San Francisco, meaning that — if this disturbing trend continues — the city’s problems will only get worse.
It is certainly ironic, as San Francisco has experienced a drug overdose epidemic, with death numbers that far exceed the COVID-19 pandemic, the city has chosen to focus on the virus.
Extreme lockdowns and business closures. Lost jobs, wealth, and productivity. People leaving in droves. Hundreds of drug overdoses a year. This is what San Francisco is now, and residents should be calling for change.
