California just closed down and millions of residents are in shock. The disastrous leadership of Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) is completely to blame.
“Approximately one-third of California’s restaurants permanently closed because of the shutdowns spurred by the Chinese coronavirus pandemic,” reported Breitbart News.
Newsom’s “extended lockdowns battered the restaurant industry in the Golden State, resulting in mass layoffs and, ultimately, the permanent closure of restaurants,” continued Breitbart.
The data proves it. Approximaely one million restaurant workers were “furloughed or laid off” and employment in the industry “is still down one-quarter” in California.
Soon, the voters will get to pass judgment on Newsom’s pandemic-related decisions. While states with less stringent restrictions are recovering much faster, California may not be so fortunate.
It is why Newsom is facing a competition recall election and two formidable Republican opponents: former San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer and former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner.
