It looks like Joe Biden’s plan isn’t going so well.
Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) is suing Georgia over election laws. But legal experts are calling the move tenuous at best and reckless at best.
“I’m highly skeptical and I think they may ultimately regret this move. It could indeed clarify this issue in a way the Biden administration does not want,” said George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley.
The new election laws of Georgia are similar to, and in some cases even more voter friendly, than other states not being targeted by the DOJ. “This is a very dubious case in my view,” said Turley. “Because the Georgia law has great overlap with other states like Delaware.”
“Voter identification as an example is extremely popular with voters And you now see a lot of democratic members beginning to say really, ‘we are not questioning that anymore'” said Turley.
