Senator and Physician Rand Paul (R-KY) exposed White House Chief Medical Adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci for dodging questions about the fact that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases funded the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
When pressed about the nature and circumstances around the Wuhan Institute Of Virology, the lab that supposedly created the coronavirus, Dr. Fauci resorted to the usual obfuscation tactics to avoid answering any real questions.
Senator Paul said on Thursday’s broadcast of “Fox and Friends” that, “What he’s arguing is he’s parsing his words. He knows his group gave money, but he’s saying, oh, it wasn’t for juicing up these super viruses. We gave it for other research. It’s sort of like the Planned Parenthood argument, yes, we give taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood, but it’s not for abortion.”
Dr. Fauci has found himself tied to the Wuhan lab and needs a way out. He has chosen to play word games to clean his hands of any responsibility for the origins of the coronavirus pandemic.
Senator Paul continued saying, “Dr. Fauci is arguing, yeah, we gave it — the NIH and my group specifically gave it to the Wuhan lab, but they weren’t supposed to be juicing up viruses.”
Dr. Fauci can’t be trusted to know where money from the NIH is going, so he certainly can’t be trusted to lead the nation’s response to a pandemic that he may have indirectly created.
