Bill Gates reportedly made advances on multiple women while married to wife Melinda, who is now divorcing him.
Six different women told the New York Times that Gates was known for asking out women both at work and outside the office in a “graceless” way during his marriage.
He asked out one Microsoft employee by email after she gave a presentation, telling her that if it made her “uncomfortable, pretend it never happened.” Sources said that’s what the woman did.
The sources that spoke to the Times said women did not feel pressured to respond to Gates’ advances and that he did not act in what they considered a predatory way.
It was not known whether Melinda knew about his advances or whether that played a part in their divorce.
