Presidential historian Jon Meacham said during a Wednesday MSNBC appearance that the statement by Attorney General William Barr that no systemic election fraud has been found “denied a great deal of oxygen to the conspiracy theories” of President Donald Trump about it.
“If, in fact, the attorney general had given credence, some kind of sanction to these conspiracy theories I think we would be in a different place,” Meacham said.
Instead, he contended, Barr’s decision to “recognize reality” may force Trump to begin to accept Biden’s election win.
Of course, it turns out Meacham has no credibility as an objective commentator on anything to do with the election.
He has been working for Trump opponent Joe Biden the whole time, and he never disclosed that to anyone while he has been acting as an “objective” observer of the election. But then, what else is new?
