There is no doubt a political battle being waged over the heart of the nation and the future of the American culture. And while it is absolutely necessary to be able to be diplomatic and respectful to both sides, there is a difference between kindness and blind trust.
And sadly in this case, it looks like Senator Mitt Romney is waving the wrong flag.
“I do trust the president,” said Romney. “He made very clear in the much larger statement that came out over the weekend carefully crafted and thought through piece-by-piece that if the infrastructure bill reaches his desk and it comes alone, he will sign it.”
Wait. Why does Romney trust Biden to do the right thing when it comes to the infrastructure bill when Biden himself has flip-flopped numerous times?
Romney claimed he did not want to spend trillions on the bill but then he doubled down that he put much trust in the current President.
“I called the White House, and the White House called around to each of us I think had been negotiating saying, look, we are going to make clear exactly what the president means and I do take the president at his word,” said Romney. “I do I take him at his word and a man of honor. Absolutely.”
