The Jesuit priest who conducted the inaugural mass for President Joe Biden is under investigation for unspecified allegations.
John M. Sobrato, the board chairman of the Santa Clara University board of trustees, announced the investigation into Reverend Kevin O’Brien.
Sobrato said that Reverend Kevin O’Brien “exhibited behaviors in adult settings, consisting primarily of conversations, which may be inconsistent with established Jesuit protocols and boundaries.”
Reportedly, the board launched the investigation and said that they “support those who came forward to share their accounts.” Those statements’ suggestion is clear; Reverend O’Brien is likely being accused of some form of sexual misconduct.
O’Brien gave the service at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle in January for President Biden, who is just the second Catholic to be President of the United States.
It has been a rough few months for Democrats as they have been dealing with the fallout from the sex scandal around New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Now yet another figure closely connected to Democrats may very well be facing a similar scandal.
