Former Vice President Joe Biden just made THE announcement about a potential 2020 presidential campaign.
Biden was interviewed by historian Jon Meacham at the University of Delaware. When asked about a potential run, Biden dropped the bombshell.
Although Biden has been cagey about making any official declarations too soon, he admitted that “I have not made a final decision, but don’t be surprised.”
Rumors have been swirling for months about Biden’s candidacy. Biden has recently expressed concerns that another presidential campaign may take too much of a toll on his family. However, he ultimately concluded that “the most important people in my life want me to run.”
Biden has been out of the political scene since leaving the White House at the end of Barack Obama’s presidency. He’s kept mostly out of the public eye, but now seems to all but have officially declared his candidacy.
According to the Washington Examiner, “reports surfaced Tuesday that Biden had been making hires in key 2020 primary states.” The Democrat primary is shaping up to be one of the most crowded in history, but Biden seems to be fully poised to launch an official campaign any day now.
