Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) said during a Thursday press conference in Tallahassee that President Joe Biden’s OSHA COVID-19 vaccine mandate is “done” because of court actions taken against it.
“My sense though is on how those mandates are working out, if you look at how it’s gone, the Sixth Circuit has OSHA consolidated –OSHA is done, okay,” he said. “You can take that to the bank. The Sixth Circuit is never going to uphold what OSHA did.”
DeSantis said he didn’t know whether the case would make it to the Supreme Court, but that it would surely be “deep-sixed” if it did.
The OSHA mandate has been suspended pending the outcome of the various cases against it, which have now been consolidated into one.
It would be surprising if the mandate got through all of the legal challenges at this point.
