President Joe Biden is going down. His dysfunction has caused the nation to lose faith — and one high-ranking lawmaker has had enough.
Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ), a former Democrat, said that he was “disturbed” by Biden’s response to Hamas’ terror attacks on Israel. “I don’t think the president has reacted … as strongly as he should,” said the lawmaker.
He also drew a stark contrast between Biden and former President Donald Trump. “A number of months ago we were celebrating the Abraham Accords and now look where we are,” said Van Drew.
Tragically, this is yet another consequence of Biden’s presidency: he will surely show lip service to Israel, our strongest ally in the Middle East, but he won’t have the same relationship that Trump did.
Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu formed a special bond — a friendship that lasted for four years and has likely continued. There was nothing like it before.
To be sure, the United States and Israel have been allies for years, but under most Democrat presidents, this crucial relationship has waned. It is another reason why Biden isn’t fit to be in the White House.
